The American College of Cardiology and MedAxiom Form a Strategic Alliance to Expand Cardiology Programs and Membership Benefits Across Organizations
Washington, DC The American College of Cardiology (ACC) and MedAxiom jointly announced a strategic partnership that will bring the strengths of both organizations to their respective membership groups through sharing expertise on critical subject matters within cardiology, promoting cross-membership relationships and advocacy initiatives, and developing a Leadership Institute within the ACC.

The ACC is a leader in the formulation of health policy, cardiovascular medicine standards and guidelines, and is a staunch supporter of cardiovascular research. The ACC provides professional education and operates national registries for the measurement and improvement of quality healthcare. MedAxiom is a product and service provider in the cardiology industry that has established itself as a leader in networking, benchmarking, and performance improvement at all levels of the cardiology practice.
“This relationship will further the goals and objectives of each organization toward attaining higher levels of performance and quality healthcare services,” says Jennifer Linville, CEO of MedAxiom. “We are very excited that our organizations have come together to create new products and services for the enrichment of the cardiology industry.”
MedAxiom and the ACC will begin immediately promoting each other’s programs and member benefits as well as providing educational content through each partner’s conferences, webcasts, member publications, and web sites. The Leadership Institute will first develop content topics and test and refine the curriculum for a formal launch in early 2007.
As a highlight of this new partnership, all ACC members are eligible for a 10% discount off all MedAxiom membership levels from now through March 31, 2007. The discount is available to first-time memberships in MedAxiom.
“ACC recognizes the important role practice administrators play in facilitating quality cardiovascular care. Our partnership with MedAxiom will allow us to better serve our members by providing tools and resources to assist them in managing a complex cardiovascular practice," said Dr. James Dove, president elect of the American College of Cardiology and president emeritus, Prairie Cardiovascular Consultants, Ltd. "ACC will continue to work with MGMA/CSCA and MedAxiom to provide practice administrators with optimal tools, educational programs, and resources to facilitate work in both the academic and private practice settings.”
