Cardiac rehab is a proven tactic to improve patient outcomes, reduce readmissions, and lower long-term costs, but it is underutilized, and the adoption does not match the evidence. During the COVID-19 pandemic, cardiac rehab participation took a big hit with centers closed completely or open with capacity constraints. Virtual cardiac rehab can fill a utilization gap with proven higher patient enrollment and significant positive clinical outcomes. With increased adoption of telehealth during COVID-19, there has been a surge in interest from providers and health plans to provide virtual cardiac rehab as a benefit.
In this webinar, we will discuss how Allegheny Health System and Highmark Health Plan achieved a >60% increase in participation using the MOVN virtual cardiac rehab program.
