MedAxiom Survey Results: Key Impediments to PET

After the American Society for Nuclear Cardiology (ASNC) and the Society for Nuclear Medicine and Molecular Imaging (SNMMI) released a position statement on PET imaging last year that highlighted the benefits of the technology, MedAxiom conducted a survey of member groups regarding their interest and knowledge of Cardiac PET, their considerations of the options to offer PET, and what they considered to be barriers. Responses were received from 55 groups in 27 states.

2013 Nuclear Cardiology Trend Survey

The objective of the ASNC/MedAxiom Nuclear Survey was to collect key nuclear study measures for SPECT, PET and SPECT/PET combined in addition to accreditation data and radiopharmaceutical data so that cardiology practices/programs can utilize the data as comparisons for performance. All data are for January through December 2012.
