A respected executive, provider and teacher, Ginger Biesbrock has 25+ years of experience in the healthcare industry with a concentration in clinical care, operations and program leadership. Before joining MedAxiom Consulting, Ginger was Director of Operations at West Michigan Heart, a 39 physician practice with 24 Advanced Practice Providers (APPs). At West Michigan Heart, Ginger oversaw all operations for ambulatory services, tertiary care and rural health practices. Ginger’s background as a Physician Assistant with a Master of Physician Assistant Studies from Grand Valley State University has been a valuable asset to her work in operations. Ginger also obtained a Master of Public Health degree from Michigan State University.

Prior to her work at West Michigan Heart, Ginger was the Chief Operating Officer of The Cardiovascular Group at Centra-Health, which consisted of 22 physicians and 10 APPs. Ginger’s responsibility included all operations for ambulatory services in an outpatient department of Centra-Health.

Ginger has been an APP for 20 years, working in cardiology, urgent care and internal medicine. She has worked in acute care settings and also provided ambulatory services. Both Grand Valley State University and Western Michigan University have utilized Ginger as an adjunct faculty member over the last 10 years. Ginger has done process improvement work to include readmissions, heart failure clinic operations, multidisciplinary clinic development and general office operations. She has received greenbelt training in Lean/Six-Sigma.

At MedAxiom Consulting, Ginger focuses on contemporary cardiovascular workforce deployment strategies, cardiovascular service line design and leadership structures, cardiovascular clinic strategy development, and care team development and optimization with the goal of creating high functioning work teams. In addition, Ginger has worked with programs to redesign their care delivery models with a more patient centric approach that will prove successful in a value-based reimbursement model and assure high level of care across the entire continuum for cardiovascular patients. She also has a strong background in developing chronic disease management programs around cardiovascular diseases that include transitional care and long-term management. Ginger is passionate about this work and stays abreast of best practices and innovative strategies required to have the most effective cardiovascular delivery model possible.

It's about giving the right care to the right patient at the right time. Today we are learning to meet the needs of our patients where they are. Using known best practices, collaborative teams, smart technology and innovative processes, we are creating patient-focused solutions for healthcare delivery. This is my focus and drive.
