Jammie’s background includes ten years of diverse experience in medical coding, medical auditing, business administration, relationship management and customer service. She is committed to continuously seeking educational opportunities and achieving relevant certifications and proficiencies in all aspects of medical billing, coding and compliance.
Before joining MedAxiom in 2016, Jammie worked at Baptist Heart Specialists in Jacksonville, Florida, as the lead coder and educator. She performed daily claim audits and reviews of clinical documents, ensuring compliance with industry regulations and maintaining quality assurance. She provided physician and staff compliance training sessions. Jammie was responsible for the training and implementation of the ICD-10 transition, which included training of all providers, NPPs and staff members. She also was responsible for the coding and training of hospital procedures to include cardiac catheterizations, coronary interventions, peripheral diagnostic procedures and interventions, EP studies and ablations, and device implants. Prior to that, Jammie worked at Multi-Medical Specialties Billing Associates in Jacksonville, Florida, in data entry, and at Woodcreek Healthcare in Puyallup, Washington, as a medical biller.
Jammie is a graduate of Everest University in Port Orchard, Washington, where she received her medical billing and coding certificate in 2006. She is a member of the American Academy of Professional Coders (AAPC) and the American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA).
