Fueled by creativity, innovation and collaboration, Kim is a relationship-builder and idea-connector. She has dedicated her decade-long career to mission-focused health care communications in the association, agency and consulting settings. Kim has deep knowledge of the cardiovascular industry and extensive experience communicating on a wide-range of health care topics across provider, patient, practice, payer and hospital audiences.
Kim spent seven years at the American College of Cardiology (ACC) in Washington, DC, where she was responsible for health policy communications, marketing a portfolio of quality improvement programs and leading social media strategy. She was also instrumental in building the ACC’s innovation agenda and positioning the organization as a health care disrupter. During her tenure, Kim spearheaded Find Your Heart a Home, a multi-year campaign to educate patients and providers on the public reporting of health care data. She also led member communications for the Quality Payment Program created by the Medicare Access and CHIP Reauthorization Act (MACRA).
As an Account Director at a global PR agency in Chicago, Kim oversaw disease awareness campaigns for her clients including the Cholesterol911 campaign for Amgen and the Stop Stalling campaign for Astellas. Kim also advised on health policy for the American Medical Association.
At MedAxiom, Kim leads the Marketing and Communications department and is responsible for executing an integrated strategy – including marketing, corporate communications, public relations, crisis management, branding and social media – to advance cardiovascular care.
Kim received a Bachelor of Arts degree in strategic communication from the University of Minnesota – Twin Cities.
