CV Community Comments on Potential PET Cuts

The American College of Cardiology (ACC) has submitted a comment letter to the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) covering a wide variety of services and payment policy proposals in the 2020 proposed physician fee schedule. Of note, the comments addressed proposed alarming updates to payment inputs for myocardial PET that could lead to technical component payment reductions as high as 80 percent for some services.
