The New Normal

Wednesday, May 7, 2014 | Joel Sauer

The emphasis today for cardiology practices, hospitals and health systems is squarely on value.  Treating patients effectively and efficiently at a reduced cost but with high quality and satisfaction is the new normal.  MedAxiom understands the importance of this changed mindset and see many industry organizations adapting by developing and supporting their customers with solutions rather than just products and services.

Our coming discussions will help create a framework for what’s happening now.  We will be discussing such topics as Meaningful Use, Advocacy, ACO’s, Data metrics outcomes and Quality in the coming weeks.  We will also dive into the new Bundled Payment Care Initiative to see why the healthcare payers and providers are looking at new and creative ways to provide increased value while simultaneously driving costs out of the system.

Lastly, we will provide an analysis of the trends in our performance measures we have been collecting from members for the past 18 years, discuss new data analytics and add an overview on healthcare economics from a cardiology industry perspective.

We trust you will find these discussions to be a valuable tool to help you gain insight into the MedAxiom community.
