Abdominal and Thoracic Aortic Aneurysm Repair can be accomplished by either a less invasive endovascular approach or by an open incision approach.  In this webcast we will delve into both approaches and discuss the proper CPT coding for each procedure. We will also discuss what additional add-on codes are separately reportable, as well as what procedures are bundled in these repairs.  

Detailed topics will include:

  • Endovascular Repair of Abdominal Aorta and/or Iliac Arteries (EVAR) –
  • Fenestrated Endovascular Repair of the Visceral and Infrarenal Aorta (FEVAR)
  • Endovascular Repair of Descending Thoracic Aorta (TEVAR)
  • Open Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm repair – including repairs that involve the visceral vessels or the iliac vessels
  • Open Iliac Artery Aneurysm Repair
  • Open Thoracic Aortic Aneurysm Repair – including the new CPT code for the Hemi-Arch Repair
