This eight-part course is designed to educate medical assistants (MAs) on cardiovascular essentials. Whether an MA is transitioning from primary care or another specialty to cardiology, this course will help prepare them for success. It was developed by Ginger Biesbrock, DSC, PA-C, FACC, a physician assistant and university instructor, and Lesley Jones Larson, MHA, FACHE, a cardiovascular administrative leader.

Ginger Biesbrock, DSC, PA-C, FACC
Combining over 25 years of clinical and operational experience with the most recent scholarship in delivery science, Ginger Biesbrock serves as executive vice president of care transformation at MedAxiom. Her objective is to combine proven organizational performance improvement techniques with an innovation overlay – optimizing the present state while continuously looking to author original solutions.

With over 22 years of clinical and operational experience, Jaime Warren serves as vice president of consulting. At MedAxiom, Jaime will use her expertise to improve organizational processes, workflows, and human performance.
Lesley M. Jones Larson, MHA, FACHE,
Lesley M. Jones Larson, MHA, FACHE, has more than 22 years of experience in the healthcare industry, in both ambulatory and acute care settings, with particular expertise in daily operations management, project management, Lean management, business development and strategy, planning, Epic electronic health records and human resources.
Each weekly lesson has a 10–45-minute didactic video providing the content for each week’s focus and connection to the guidance roadmap tools. Each week will conclude with a 5-10 question quiz to assure learner's understanding of the content.
This course can be taken at the student’s own pace but must be completed within 12 months of starting the course. This is a pass/fail course; students must pass each weekly quiz with a score of 80% or above and complete the course evaluation in order to receive CME credits and a certificate of completion.
