In this webinar our panel will address the issue of burnout and why electronic health records (EHRs) are a significant driver of increased burnout. We will discuss the evolution of the EHR and some of its negative results such as shifting tasks from other staff to providers and increasing compliance burdens. Speakers will share experiences from their institutions for developing in-basket governance processes, review detail sources of in-basket messages, and discuss the role of the team managing in-basket messages. Resources will be shared to assist with clinician well-being along with tips for developing an intervention and assessing if an intervention is working.
