As a Revenue Cycle Solutions Specialty Coder, Tammy applies over 25 years of experience as a confident leader in medical office management, coding, billing and claims adjudication to her role at MedAxiom. Her primary focus areas include general cardiology, interventional cardiology and vascular surgery services. 

Prior to joining MedAxiom, Tammy served as a senior coder for Cardiovascular Associates in Tennessee where she was an elemental force in implementing their peripheral vascular and vascular surgery coding and billing program for the practice alongside a highly respected, world-class physician. Since 1999, she was the only peripheral vascular billing specialist for the practice. She championed a remote work program for the coding team in the practice. Soon after, she initiated an internal, resulting in a significant recovery for the practice. As a result of that audit, she was given the directive to code and audit all procedures prior to billing, dramatically reducing claims rejections. She was also a faculty member with their Cardiovascular University where she performed internal audits and provided educational and training services.

She has been a member of the American Academy of Professional Coders since 1999 and is a Cardiology Specialty Certified Coder.
