As the Senior Vice President of Marketing and Communications at MedAxiom, Kim leads a team of healthcare communications experts and is responsible for executing an integrated strategy – including marketing, corporate communications, public relations, crisis management, production, branding and digital – to advance cardiovascular care. As a member of the MedAxiom Creative Services team, she delivers professional services that produce visually captivating and engaging content and communication strategies tailor-made for individual clients.

She has dedicated her career to mission-focused healthcare communications in the association, agency and consulting settings. Kim has a deep understanding of the cardiovascular industry and extensive experience creating communications on a wide range of healthcare topics for provider, patient, practice, payor and hospital audiences.
Kim spent seven years at the American College of Cardiology (ACC) in Washington, DC, where she was responsible for health policy communications, marketing a portfolio of quality improvement programs and leading social media strategy. She was also instrumental in building the ACC’s innovation agenda and positioning the organization as a healthcare disrupter. During her tenure, Kim spearheaded Find Your Heart a Home, a multi-year campaign to educate patients and providers on the public reporting of healthcare data. She also led member communications for the Quality Payment Program created by the Medicare Access and CHIP Reauthorization Act (MACRA).
As an Account Director at a global PR agency in Chicago, Kim oversaw disease awareness campaigns for her clients including the Cholesterol911 campaign for Amgen and the Stop Stalling campaign for Astellas. Kim also advised on health policy for the American Medical Association.
Kim received a Bachelor of Arts degree in strategic communication from the University of Minnesota – Twin Cities.
