Director of Member Services and Academy

As Director of Member Services and Academy, Julie Miller ensures that all members can easily access their benefits and develops the depth and breadth of the MedAxiom Academy. By expanding the breadth and depth of MedAxiom’s educational offerings, she gives frontline members access to the knowledge needed to provide excellent patient care. She is a strategic thinker who works closely with her team to gather and process data to form action plans when creating education.

This approach is based on a foundation of over 20 years of experience in the healthcare field. She began her career in Richmond as a consultant focused on strategic and hospital facility planning at a small healthcare consulting firm. After consulting, she joined Bon Secours Memorial Regional Medical Center and Richmond Community Hospital. Over her 7-year tenure, she served in multiple roles to lead service excellence initiatives, including patient, employee and physician satisfaction; patient advocacy; and community engagement.  

In 2011, Julie joined Virginia Cardiovascular Specialists as the director of business development and physician services, spearheading the onboarding, marketing and business development activities for the 40+ physician private practice. She was key in generating year-over-year patient growth, specialty service development and new physician business.

Julie holds a Bachelor of Science degree in health science from James Madison University and a Master of Health Administration from Virginia Commonwealth University, Medical College of Virginia Campus.
