As Enterprise Project Management Director, Melissa applies her passion for organizational performance and process improvement across MedAxiom’s Consulting, Member Services, Ventures and Care Transformation Services divisions. Melissa brings 15 years of experience in leadership and organizational development to this role.
Melissa joined MedAxiom in 2020 from the American College of Cardiology’s Executive Office. Prior to her career in healthcare, Melissa worked as an executive performance consultant for Dale Carnegie and as an executive director for the Downtown Kingsport Association. In her role as executive director, Melissa applied her project management skills to event management, producing large-scale community events in the downtown area. Additionally, Melissa worked closely with civic leaders to gather and apply market data to successfully strengthen the downtown district, cultivate locally owned businesses, develop community programs and policies, and improve revitalization efforts.
Early in her career, Melissa worked with Student Affairs in Higher Education, primarily responsible for the overall strategic direction, leadership, administration and management of student leadership development. Serving on the strategic planning committee, Melissa played a large role in both the development and execution of the quality enhancement plan for reaccreditation and the revision of the student scholar program.
Melissa earned her Bachelor of Science and Master of Business Administration degrees from the University of Central Florida.
