As enterprise project manager, Melissa applies her passion for organizational performance and process improvement across MedAxiom’s Consulting, Membership, Ventures and Care Transformation divisions. Melissa joined MedAxiom in 2020 from the American College of Cardiology’s Executive Office.
Prior to her career in healthcare, Melissa worked for Dale Carnegie as an executive performance consultant, and for the Downtown Kingsport Association as executive director. In her role as executive director, Melissa applied her project management skills in event management, producing large-scale community events in the downtown area. Additionally, Melissa worked closely with civic leaders to gather and apply market information to successfully strengthen the downtown district, cultivate locally owned businesses, strengthen community development programs and policies, and improve downtown revitalization efforts.
Early in her career, Melissa worked with Student Affairs in Higher Education, primarily responsible for the overall strategic direction, leadership, administration and management of student leadership development. Serving on the Strategic Planning Committee, Melissa played a large role in both the development and execution of the Quality Enhancement Plan for reaccreditation and the revision of the Student Scholar Program.
Melissa earned her Bachelor of Science and MBA from the University of Central Florida and has 15 years’ of experience in leadership and organizational development.
