To effectively tackle the key challenges in cardiovascular care, a novel framework was created to help drive transformations to improve the clinical, financial and operational outcomes of the CV service lines. This framework – the CV TRIAD – is built on the TRIAD collaboration of Physician Leadership, Administrators, and Industry creating a community of thought leaders committed to Reinventing Cardiovascular care. Through the biannual CV Service Line RoundTable meeting that Philips has been organizing over the last 4 years, the CV TRIAD has grown to a strong community of CV leaders from across the country.

The 7th CV RoundTable was hosted by Hackensack UMC Heart & Vascular Hospital at Hackensack Meridian Health in New Jersey. To kick-off the RoundTable, Tim Attebery, Chief Executive Officer of the American College of Cardiology presented the Keynote Lecture to a large auditorium audience. Advocating that for CV Care to transform and be successful we all must step up, engage and lead. Tim challenged the audience to be bold, be willing to take risks adding more value and, embrace new ideas in order to work together to improve CV Care for our patients. "Willingness to share Risk needs to be part of the value equation...The stakeholders who will take on part of the risk will capture more value because they are adding more value to the life of the patients.”

The keynote was followed by an executive TRIAD panel discussion with executive leadership representing hospital administration, physicians and industry. Each leader bringing in their personal perspective on how they are driving the necessary transformations to improve the clinical, financial and operational outcomes and reduce avoidable costs for the CV Care Delivery.
