MedAxiom, the nation’s leading cardiovascular healthcare membership organization and performance community, is excited to announce its exclusive industry partnership in the arena of virtual cardiac rehabilitation with Moving Analytics, a virtual cardiovascular disease management company that works with payers and providers to improve the health outcomes and cost of their cardiovascular populations. Moving Analytics’ programs utilize telehealth, remote monitoring and cardiac trained health coaches to support patients with managing their risk factors and adopting healthy behaviors including exercise training, blood pressure, cholesterol, stress management, smoking cessation and medication adherence.

“The beauty of Moving Analytics programs is they can be delivered virtually without requiring major investments in real estate, staffing or equipment. Moving Analytics provides all the necessary resources cardiology groups and health systems need to deploy the program in less than a week including technology, devices and staff,” said Joe Sasson, PhD, executive vice president of MedAxiom Ventures. “Their programs are very timely for our members and patient populations across the country as we continue to increase virtual access, and we are excited to welcome them as a MedAxiom Industry Partner.”

Moving Analytics’ flagship program Movn, is an evidence-based, virtual cardiac rehabilitation program that delivers exercise training, lifestyle/risk factor modification and remote monitoring through a mobile app and dedicated coach. Moving Analytics partner’s with providers in cardiology clinics, hospitals, heart failure clinics, cath labs and cardiac rehab centers to deploy the program.  Movn is the only commercially available virtual cardiac rehab program that is currently being reimbursed by commercial and Medicare Advantage health plans.

“Because of the general underutilization of cardiac rehabilitation in the United States, new patient-centered delivery strategies like the Movn program are urgently needed to increase uptake by patients from home—or wherever it’s convenient for them—enabling patients to realize the many clinical benefits, including fewer hospitalizations, improved exercise capacity and return to a better quality of life,” noted Srinivas Murali, MD, chairman of the Department of Cardiovascular Medicine and co-chairman of the Allegheny Health Network Cardiovascular Institute.  “We are currently validating the Movn program at Highmark Health plan and Allegheny Health network through our Vital Innovation Program.”

Moving Analytics is assisting providers achieve up to 80% cardiac rehab participation and completion while improving patient outcomes including functional capacity, blood pressure, medication adherence, smoking cessation and stress management. They also offer a better patient experience by eliminating access barriers while providing all documentation to support billing for telehealth.
