MedAxiom, the cardiovascular community's premier source for organizational performance solutions, announced a new industry partnership with Auxira Health, a virtual care support company that pairs cardiologists with subspecialty-trained advanced practice providers (APPs) to manage routine clinical and administrative tasks.
Auxira Health integrates virtual APPs into cardiology practices to handle lower-acuity clinical work, allowing cardiologists to see more new patients and complex patients without IT implementation. Services include routine follow-up visits, daily inbox management, medication refills, test result processing and communication.
The model is designed to address two of the most pressing operational challenges facing cardiology programs today: limited patient access and physician burnout. Auxira Health reports measurable outcomes across both dimensions, including a 37% reduction in wait times for new appointments, a 9.5% increase in work RVUs within months of implementation, 71% reduction in patient email response times, and a 35% decrease in physician after-hours electronic health record (EHR) time.
