PROGRAM OVERVIEW

While the subspecialty of cardio-obstetrics continues to grow in the U.S, there is a gap in education for general cardiovascular fellows and maternal fetal medicine (MFM) fellows, as highlighted in a 2023 JACC paper titled, “Cardiovascular Fellowship Training in Cardio-Obstetrics.

The Cardio-Obstetrics Fundamentals for Fellows program provides fundamental education in cardio-obstetrics (level I) to general cardiovascular fellows and MFM fellows in the U.S. that is easily available and accessible at no cost to all program directors and trainees in both disciplines.

This eight-module program includes didactics, as well as case-based and interactive content, with topics presented by a diverse speaker pool of national experts.

Nanette Wenger, MD, MACC
Professor Emeritus of Medicine, Emory University School of Medicine

Carole Warnes, MD, FACC
Professor Emeritus of Clinical Medicine in Cardiovascular Disease and Pediatric Cardiology, Mayo Clinic

The Cardio-Obstetrics Fundamentals for Fellows Program was developed independently by Mass General Brigham with production support provided by MedAxiom. It is intended for informational purposes only and does not constitute an endorsement by MedAxiom or the American College of Cardiology (ACC).
